Staff and volunteers from our various programs are confronted daily with the struggles of our Street friends. This can sometimes be very overwhelming. We try to share their circumstances with all our intercessors through our Prayer Calendar that we send out each month.
Although we may not all pray at the same time or from the the same location, we remain focused on the souls who are unable to help themselves and count on us to intercede for them. By showing them the mercy and love God showed us, we may be able to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with them. He in turn, provides, heals, delivers, and can turn lives around for the good.
Knowing that we can help each Friend not only with their basic material needs through our faithful donors, but also their emotional and spiritual ones with the backing of our amazing team of intercessors is so very important to us. This is all a huge encouragement in the work of God. The problems of our Friends face can be for a long time but united in intercession, we can help them through. As Jesus taught us in Matthew 18:19-20, “Again, I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.” What a mighty promise and assurance we have of our Father, that together we can help our street friends out of their miserable situations.
