OIM's Easter Meal
When
On April 23, 2024, we will gather to share an Easter meal together. We are inviting our street friends for a sit-down meal from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
Where
The event will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church. The address is 120 Lisgar Street.
What
This event aims to provide a warm meal for our street friends. We pull out all the stops, offering turkey and all the trimmings a typical turkey meal offers. This special occasion provides not only a wonderful dinner but also lots of time to connect and exchange stories with each other and with our volunteers, who love nothing more than being able to share the love of Jesus in word and action with those who attend.
Why
We typically host our event a few weeks after other ministries host Easter meals. We recognize that our street friends have their choice of several Easter Meals on and around Easter Sunday, so we offer ours a couple of weeks later to make the season last a little longer.
Volunteer with us
We are looking for people to volunteer with us in two key areas: preparation and set-up (9:30 am –12:30 pm), serve and clean-up (12:30 pm –3:30 pm),
