Innercity Veterans Outreach & Support (IVOS) Luncheon
On November 3, 2023, we came together at the Kent Street Legion in Ottawa for the Inaugural IVOS Tribute Luncheon, and it was a truly remarkable and symbolic event. We are excited to share with you some highlights of this unforgettable occasion and express our heartfelt gratitude.
The event was a tremendous success, with an exceptional turnout that demonstrated the overwhelming support from our community. General (Retired) Walt Natynczyk, a leader of national distinction, delivered an inspiring keynote address on the theme, "Supporting Those Who Served." His words resonated deeply with all in attendance, leaving a lasting impact.
The choice of the Kent Street Legion as the event venue was deliberate, as it holds significant historical importance as one of the oldest and most esteemed legions in the region. It served as a symbolic backdrop for our gathering on that special day.

As an organization, Ottawa Innercity Ministries has been providing vital assistance and care to our street friends every day. In 2022, we made over 25,000 connections, a testament to our unwavering commitment to those in need. Our mission to offer companionship and essential support to adults, Veterans, and youth has been a guiding force in our work.
We are committed to sustaining our mission and continuing to make a difference in the lives of those who have served our country. This event marked just the beginning of a journey dedicated to supporting Veterans, especially those at risk, and we are excited about what lies ahead.
