Workskills Program

COVID-19 Notice: In order to comply with the guidelines from Ottawa Public Health all indoor gatherings of our services and programs have been suspended until further notice.

What Is the Workskills Program?

The Work Skills Program is an individualized program designed to assist people in improving their life skills.  This means providing ‘workforce readiness’ training for individuals who wish to refine their ‘soft skills,’ such as punctuality, time management and conflict resolution as well as pre-employment skills in our office or drop-in settings that may include sorting donations, stuffing envelopes, answering phones, and kitchen assistance. Each person learns valuable life skills that encourage them to go to the next level of development in their life journey.

Our goal is to come alongside each person, build self-esteem and help develop a person’s skill set and confidence with a view to improve their overall quality of life.
