Grace

At Innercity Arts it is easy to become discouraged by the number of depressing things that I hear; young people wrestling with mental health, addictions, break-ups, loss of jobs, physical illness, etc. It is easy to serve those who are grateful, but sometimes I struggle with begrudgingly serving those that seem to take for granted the services that we offer.

God is constantly reminding me of His grace that is continually offered to me. He reminds me that not only was I in need of saving, but I am still in need of His grace. Sometimes I am grateful, and other times I take His grace for granted.

I am encouraged that He has called me and brought me to a place where I can serve Him by serving people in need around me. God has been teaching me to be bolder as I proclaim the message of hope for the city of Ottawa through both actions and words.

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:8-10.
