A Time to Celebrate

This past Friday we celebrated OIM’s 35th Anniversary at the Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club Charity Luncheon.

We were again blessed to have Karen Fishwick as our Emcee for the event. She is an OIM Board member and a Street Outreach volunteer. She shared many “Anniversary Facts” and had great insight into Street Outreach as an outreach worker herself.

Our keynote speaker was Bill Stevens who is the General Manager of the CHRI 99.1 FM radio channel. His keynote address was titled “Cutting through the Clutter in Business and Life”. Many of CHRI’s staff team were able to attend to hear Bill speak and be a part of our luncheon.

Part of the program was the debut of our latest video that CHRI helped to created. You can take a look at it here

.

We had many pastors from churches that have supported OIM over many years as well as OIM Ambassadors; these were OIM staff or volunteers who were able to share about their experiences with their tables during the luncheon. We were also delighted to be able to host some of our individual donors and businesses whose care make OIM's Street Outreach work possible.

I want to thank our Event sponsor Jim & Trish Beaulne from Primerica as well as table sponsors Hydro Ottawa and Welch LLP, who made this celebration possible.

This prestigious venue was a fitting location to help us commemorate OIM’s 35 years of service to the community.
