Crazy Cake Pops

On March 19th and 20th, two youths from our new StepUp Youth for Youth program hosted a Crazy Cake Pop Event. This program helps youth continue to develop cooking and baking skills among the youth involved.

For the youth involved, this cake pop event was not only a fun activity, but it also built their confidence. For some, it revealed their hidden leadership abilities.

One of the young adults who hosted this event could not be adaptive when she first started the program. It was her severe anxiety that interfered with her day-to-day life and made it impossible for her to grow personally, express herself, or engage in goal-oriented behaviour.

Now, she has made tremendous strides as a result of this program. She is currently preparing to seek out paid employment and has successfully obtained two certificates related to the job field she is interested in. She now feels comfortable applying for a job and taking more steps to becoming self-sufficient. She also plans to get a driver's license.

We are so blessed to see her growth. Please include her and all the young adults in our Innercity Arts program in your prayers so they will all succeed.
