Micah 6:8

He has told you, O man, what is good;

and what does the Lord require of you

but to do justice, and to love kindness,

and to walk humbly with your God?

I love those verses. It is my deepest desire to be obedient to them - to be just, to love and be kind and to walk humbly.

I’m reminded that how I live within my family and community matters to God. He cares about how I interact with other people around me and how I do with my relationship with Him. Jesus loves us so much that He died for us and He asks us to live in such a way that this love is lived out to everyone around us.

Is it easy? Sometimes it is but other times it is so hard. Life throws us curve balls. There are people wrapped up in their own lives (they probably got a curve ball thrown at them). There are people who live only for themselves, totally oblivious to those around them. Regardless of who we run into, who God has placed as our neighbour, God requires us to live differently. To do the right thing, to show love and to fear our God. It is in this ‘living differently’ that God’s name is praised to all around us.
