Every Wednesday the IVOS program at OIM hosts a Veteran’s time with snacks, coffee, lunch, games, and socialization. On those days it has been wonderful to see the Veterans’ faces light up as they come into a safe and welcoming place that allows them to meet and connect with others as well as have a delicious lunch to eat with others.
Being able to facilitate such a worthy program has been rewarding in a variety of ways, whether it is being an ear to someone who needs to talk, providing lunch and snacks to Veterans who attend, or helping with items needed to improve their lives, their thankfulness always shines through.
It is such a great reward to know that their lives are a little brighter as God works through IVOS each week.
