As I sit and ponder the impact of this latest lockdown, my heart breaks for the homeless even more – if that’s possible. How will they make it now that we are entering the coldest days and nights of the year? With the restrictions of no more than 5 people in any gathering, the bigger question is how do we convey that to them? We almost always have more than 5 at the door during Door Ministry and we hear from the outreach teams that there can be more than 5 at a time that will come to meet the carts at night. The struggles over the coming days/weeks maybe even more than usual for our street friends. It is an honour to know that while we can’t feed everyone, we are able to still feed some. OIM makes a difference in a few lives every day. What a privilege!
