In Matthew, the Bible talks about how when we serve those amidst us who are often forgotten or cast aside, we are serving Jesus himself. When we clothe the poor and feed the homeless, we aren’t simply doing a good deed. We are actually putting clothes on the back of Jesus and we are providing food and drink to Him. This is no small thought! The Bible doesn’t say that it’s ‘like’ we are giving to Him, it states that we ARE giving to Him.
